August often feels like a pause.Executives are traveling, teams are in ā€œmaintenance mode,ā€ and Q4 intensity hasn’t yet arrived.

But this lull can be powerful — if leaders use it with intention.

From my Summer Leadership Listening Series and executive conversations, four leadership ā€œmusclesā€ are proving essential in 2025’s volatility:

1ļøāƒ£ Clarity in Complexity — distilling noise into 2–3 priorities that anchor the team.

2ļøāƒ£ Adaptive Decision-Making — avoiding paralysis by cycling decisions quickly instead of waiting for certainty.

3ļøāƒ£ Resilient Teams — building trust and cultural clarity so teams flex under pressure, not fracture.

4ļøāƒ£ Stakeholder Alignment — mapping interests early, naming conflicts fast, and creating forums for dialogue.

šŸ”‘ The paradox of August: while it feels like a lull, it’s actually the best time to strengthen these muscles before Q4 urgency hits.

šŸ‘‰ Coaching Question: Which leadership muscle do you most need to train during this lull to be ready for Q4 intensity?

šŸ“… This month, I’m offering a limited set of 20-minute Executive Insight Briefings — space for senior leaders to sharpen focus, test strategy, and prepare for decisive year-end moves.

ā³ Only 8 spots available. šŸ“© DM me ā€œExecutive Briefingā€ to claim a place.
