October has been a month of reflection, connection, and growth — and I am deeply honored to have been featured by the American Club of Brussels (ACB) in their recent Member and Organization Spotlight.

In the interview, I had the opportunity to share my leadership journey and the story behind The HR Savant — from my corporate career with BASF to founding a boutique executive and leadership coaching practice that bridges global strategy with human transformation.

šŸ’¼ From Global Leadership to Local Impact

My journey to Brussels began through my role with BASF, where I currently lead global talent management and mobility for the Performance Materials Division. What started as a professional move soon became something more — Brussels has evolved into both a professional and personal home.

It is a city where global leadership meets local impact — a truly international community that values connection, culture, and collaboration. That spirit continues to inspire both my work and my coaching practice.

🌱 Why I Founded The HR Savant

After more than 20 years of leading HR and talent strategies across global organizations, I founded The HR Savant to bridge strategic insight with the human experience of leadership — helping executives and teams navigate transformation with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

I also founded The HR Savant as part of my own professional evolution — a way to continue expanding my expertise and deepening my development as both a leader and HR practitioner. This work allows me to combine strategic experience with reflective practice, ensuring that I remain a student of leadership while helping others grow in their own journeys.

My goal was to create a space for leaders — from the C-suite to high-potential managers — to pause, reflect, and build clarity amid change. The HR Savant brings together the art and science of coaching to empower leaders to unlock potential, build confidence, and lead with intention.

šŸš€ The Power of Coaching in Transition and Growth

Leadership today requires more than experience — it demands self-awareness, adaptability, and the ability to inspire others.

Through executive, team, and transition coaching, I partner with leaders to:

  • Build alignment and collaboration across teams

  • Strengthen strategic decision-making and leadership presence

  • Navigate complex transitions with confidence and purpose

Coaching helps leaders not only manage change, but lead it.

šŸŒ Building Community and Connection

What I value most about Brussels is its inclusive and international leadership community. It is a hub where professionals from around the world exchange ideas and shape the future of work together.

Being part of organizations such as the American Club of Brussels, AmCham Belgium, and European Women on Boards has reinforced my belief that leadership is not a solo act — it is a shared journey.
